So i made more progress today

learned more about duplicating

i struggled with merging but it was because i forgot to join the different pieces together.

i am becoming more comfortable with the whole interface

here is where i went and restructured the bottom to be more square in anticipation of of building out the body. i also utilized the knife tool to make and delete some edges

then top of the night with learning the mirror tool.
